Delete your account
You can delete your Start Here account yourself, at any time, without asking us. It takes about ten seconds and it is permanent.
If you can sign in — do it yourself
Open Account settings → Delete your account, type DELETE to confirm, and it's done immediately. In the mobile app the same button is under Settings → Account.
Go to account settings →If you can't sign in — ask us
Email zero@starthere00.com from the address on the account, or use the support form. We'll confirm you control the address, then delete it — within 30 days, and usually the same week. Ask us for a copy of your data first if you want one; we'll send it before we erase anything.
What deletion actually removes
- Everything you made: projects, objects, cut lists, saved measurements, box and nut-and-bolt designs, plans, machine setups, checklists and saved cut-list recipients.
- Your profile and sign-in credentials. The email address becomes free to sign up with again.
- Your place on any mailing list we captured through the tools, and any pending shop invitations sent to your address.
- Any subscription or Pro+ add-on, cancelled immediately. The remainder of a period you've already paid for is not refunded — if you want a refund under the 30-day policy, ask before you delete.
If you own a Shop, deleting your account also closes the shop, and the people on it lose shared access. Their own accounts and their own saved work are untouched.
What we have to keep, and for how long
- Invoices and payment records — up to 7 years. Tax law requires it, and they're held by Stripe as our payment processor. Card numbers were never on our servers to begin with.
- Support messages — up to 2 years, so we have the history of a problem if you write in again.
- Analytics — usage counts that were never tied to your name, kept up to 26 months and then aggregated or deleted.
- Backups — deleted rows can persist in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days before those roll off. Nothing is restored from them except in a disaster.
The full detail on what we collect and why is in the Privacy Policy. Anything else, zero@starthere00.com reaches a human.
