What does the Nut & Bolt Generator do?
It's a thread generator that builds matched nut-and-bolt pairs from a diameter, pitch, and clearance — the helix math done for you — ready to 3D print or machine.
Can I 3D print the nuts and bolts it makes?
Yes. The clearance is built in so the threads actually spin together instead of fusing solid, and it favors printer-friendly coarse pitches. Print the bolt standing up and the nut flat.
Can I match an existing fastener?
Yes. Measure the major diameter and pitch of the part you are matching, enter them, and generate a mating nut or bolt.
Does it support metric and imperial threads?
Both, coarse and fine, with the tap-drill and clearance-hole sizes worked out for you.
Do I need to understand thread geometry?
