Driving the generator well
The template is only as good as the numbers you feed it.
- Decide inside vs. outside dimensions. A box template generator usually asks. If the box has to hold something, work from inside dimensions and add a millimetre of clearance. If the box has to fit somewhere, work from outside.

- Leave the kerf at default unless a test cut tells you otherwise.
- Check the layout before you cut. Make sure the pattern fits your sheet and nothing overlaps. A quick look saves a wasted board.

- Cut a single corner first on new stock to confirm the fit.
